Owen in his special chair...

On the La Salle bridge heading to House of Blues. Here's the site it advertises.

I witnessed this lock's removal from a bike/rack with a rotating hand saw of some sort. It took about 6 seconds. Granted, this is a crappy lock.

I had a friend help me mix a mix I'm working on for this charity event.

My first panorama multi-shot attempt...

Kate's first Critical Mass. It went very well for all of us.

This may be the most interesting thing I've ever seen on a bike ride...

Joe's "hobbit feet". He just has small nails compared to his feet is all.

++++++++++

I just got back from watching The Dark Knight at the IMAX Navy Pier theater. It really was a great movie and Heath Ledger really was great too. IMAX is awesome for the wide slow shots of the city and chase scenes, but fight scenes are just disorienting. My two cents. Happy birthday Carmen!

Joe's feet are OOC. Let's not make excuse for his funk toes.

As much as I enjoy to ride my bike in the summertime, I suggest all readers heed the words of streetboners and do not take tim up any of his critical mass invites in the future.

Every mother fucker and their brother sent that video to me. Chicago's CM is nothing like NYCs or even SF's from what I gather. Children, old people and my roommate on her slow ass cruiser participate in Chicago's. It's a long leisurely ride through our city.

Streetboners, Vice, Stuffwhitepeoplelike...
here's one I just found:

These sites are getting pretty unoriginal.

For what it's worth, Seattle just had a big CM tiff over the weekend as well, ending in a biker hitting a motorist in the back of the head with a u-lock. The motorist was initially in the wrong, but the general tone of CM out here is extremely adversarial. It sounds like Chicago is accepting and, in a way, receptive to CM and its crusade for biker's rights. However, in a number of other US cities, that does not seem to be the case.

Oh, and yes, my toes are gross. I have long accepted this in my life, and like my Grandmother who went completely gray by 35, accept the challenge with vigor.
