Red Cube Projects

Early last December we found a small red cube outside the front door at Schubas. It was labeled "Art Institute Chicago" on one side and marked as number 68/500. It also instructed us to visit their website and enter a code. There, we were told to make a video of the cube dancing. Originally we had lots of ambitious ideas for how we could make it dance at a show and which bands could help us out. In the end we got way too busy with new responsibilities and gave it to our creative intern Nick. He produced the following video. I think it's pretty cool.

AIC has set up a website and twitter feed devoted to this clever campaign. Fun stuff.

Last week I spotted a giant version of the cube on a side street near my place.

I like how this one has a name. Cube Enriquez.
Keep an eye out for others.
